WHAT WE BELIEVE
Our mission is to create a community of content horses by equipping horse owners with ethical and holistic training practices that prioritize the physical, emotional, and social health of their equine partners.
- Heartline Horse Co.

As a trainer, I believe that the beginning of good training actually starts with your horse's care. If their basic needs are not met, it can be very difficult to successfully accomplish your goals. So, the base of my training philosophy actually starts outside of the arena:
-
Does your horse have frequent access to good, high-quality forage?
-
Do they have ample turnout or the ability to move freely within their paddock?
-
Are they able to socialize with other horses and nurture those instinctive bonds?

Once these needs are met to the best of your ability (as well as ensuring that proper hoof, dental, and veterinary care have all been provided), training then begins from the ground up. Scroll below to read more about what I do!

TRAINING PHILOSOPHY

While I am not a solely positive reinforcement trainer, I do believe that reward-based training and riding is more effective and successful than solely pressure and release or negative reinforcement. That said, I believe in setting healthy boundaries with horses while still allowing them to be heard and paying attention to what they are expressing.
If you are looking for a "quick fix", get-it-done type of trainer, I am not for you. I will never push any urgent timelines on a horse or rider, and I believe that progress takes the time that it takes- each horse and rider is different. But, if you are wanting a trainer who takes things at the horse's pace, fills in the gaps in both your riding and your horse's training, and is passionate about proper development and biomechanics- I'm your girl!
Horses have been my passion for as long as I can remember and have been a safe place for me through life's hardships. Because of this, I feel like I owe it to them to be as the best that I can be, and help others be their best, too.
